They sent me a malicious email with a website similar to Microsoft Outlook, with a block if I didn't verify my account because they had gotten into my email, and in a hurry, I opened it, and now they're torturing me by asking for money so they don't publish photos of me that they don't have of course, because I haven't done anything that the email says, but it turns out I'm afraid they'll give me a virus or something worse, that something happens to my Outlook account, because if they know my password and it was connected to my account, I already changed the password, but I don't know what else to do or how to delete the malware message that keeps repeating itself over and over again in my inbox. It's like I sent it to myself from a draft, it's all very strange, I need your help please.

Thank you very much

Regards

    Dear nati zamora martinez,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum regarding the suspicious email you received and the issues with your Outlook account. I understand this has been a stressful experience, and I'm here to help guide you through resolving it securely. First, securing Your Outlook Account:

    1. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enable this immediately if not already done. Visit account.microsoft.com, go to Security > Advanced security options, and turn on two-step verification. Use an authenticator app for added security.
    2. Sign Out of All Sessions: Log out from all devices to ensure no unauthorized access remains. In your account settings under Security, select "Sign out everywhere."
    3. Update Linked Passwords: Change passwords for any services connected to your Outlook account, using strong, unique ones.
    4. Report the Phishing Email: In Outlook, mark the email as phishing to help us block similar threats.

If you concern of a malware, I suggest running Antivirus Scans: Use Windows Defender (or your preferred antivirus) to perform a full system scan.

Please, do not respond to or pay the scammers, as it only encourages further contact.

I hope this information could help you resolve the situation. If you have any additional concern, feel free to comment below. I be more than happy to assist.
