I have three accounts on my laptop and am wanting to create space by deleting AppData on one or two without affect the other account. How can I safely do this?

For reasons I cannot recall I have three different User Accounts on my laptop and storage is critical. As I look at the elements that are taking the most space on two of the accounts it is in the AppData. Of course there is alot of overlap among the accounts as I look at the AppData contents detail. However there is a folder for some Apps on the accounts I want to clean up that are not on the main account I want to kee. I would like to free up this space - 16GB on one account and 1 GB on the other. How can I do this safely? Thank you.

    Hello,

You can actually click up the user profiles on the other accounts that you don't need.

I will explain - user profiles are everything in the C:\users\username folder for that user. Cleaning the user profile will not erase the user. The user can still log in, but their user profile will be like new, like when the first time they used it.

To do so, you need to make sure your user has admin right. Then proceed to the following steps:

Hold down Win+R keys, type sysdm.cpl in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, go to Advanced tab, click on the "Settings" button at the User Profile section. This is where you can select the other user's profile and delete. Leave Default and Public profiles alone.

I am signed in as Administrator. When I am on the User Profile section, as recommended, the Delete button for accounts I want to delete/modify is greyed out and not selectable.

You were right - both sign in accounts were Administrator accounts. I changed the account that did not require a password to a Regular Account (let's call it #2) from Administrator, then signed out and restarted computer and signed in to the #1 administrator account and deleted the #2 Windows User account from the settings page "Other Accounts". This resulted in an "Account Unknown " when I look at them through the System Properties User Profiles. The Delete button highlights only the Account Unknown. FYI - The Public User Profile is also missing but the Default is present in this view. Oddly, as much of this scenario is becoming to me, both the Default and Public User Profiles are present when viewing Windows (C): Users via Explorer. I am sure this seems to be a jumbled mess to you. My goal is to have one User Account and Profile that contains all of my documents. Thanks for any and all of your assistance.
