Consistent Issues with Word for ios

I have been using word on my iPad Air for a few years. I’ve encountered a host of problems in the last year and nothing seems to be getting fixed. Some of these issues go away occasionally but they always return after every update. They’ve all just popped back up after the recent update. Problems include:

  • Missing keystrokes when typing
  • cmdF (Find feature) not working even when I try clicking on the icon in word
  • Document skipping back to where the cursor is
  • Document keeps skipping back to the start when I’m splitting the screen between two documents

None of these problems occur using any other software so it is Words problem, not my ipad. As a novelist who uses word for all my writing, it makes working extremely frustrating.

I never encounter these problems when using word on a laptop or computer so why isn’t Microsoft doing anything to fix these issues with the IOS app? I’ve seen that others have been reporting these issues for months. We pay for a subscription for this, but I’m going to switch to google docs at this rate.

    Hello

The word documents not loading seems to be better since the new word update this morning. The ‘Select’ button in the word documents isn’t working though on my iPad Pro. You can not longer right click to select text, and only select text by touching the screen and the “select’ button is missing in the pop up options just a blank space? …but if you click on the blank space it does select the text.
