Downloaded Office Home on Mac. Can't open Word or any other program

I bought Office Home, installed and can't open any of the programs. Every time I do, I get "Problem Report for Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word quit unexpectedly." Nothing will open, I immediately get that message with every program I try to open. Please help.

    I understand you are having problem opening Office on your MacOS.

    You can try resetting Office credential and clearing Office cache method:

    • Quit all Office apps.
    • Open Finder, press Cmd + Shift + G and go to ~/Library/Containers
    • Delete these folders if present com.microsoft.Word,com.microsoft.Excel,com.microsoft.Powerpoint,com.microsoft.Outlook
    • Then go to ~/Library/Group Containers and delete file name UBF8T346G9.Office
    • After you done all the step above, restart your machine and reopen Office

    This method will reset your Office on Mac settings without affecting your documents
