Hello! I wish to cancel a reoccuring payment for Microsoft Windows. I no longer have access to my email account (which would have allowed me to cancel it myself. I have completed the process of trying to verify who I am and Microsft that my email password is not retrievabl.

My credit union said that they are unable to stop payment, even with getting a new credit card.

I don't know which retailer that I purchased Windows from...so I'm at a roadblock. Please advise.

    Hi Meg,

Thank you for posting your problem, I am here to help you today. To get your access from your Microsoft account use the Microsoft sign-in helper tool below to help guide you to the right solutions

Open any web browser and go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/how-to-recover-a-hacked-or-compromised-microsoft-account-24ca907d-bcdf-a44b-4656-47f0cd89c245

If this unable to help you last resort is the Account recover that requires you to prove ownership by answering a few questions that only the account owner can answer.

I will suggest you keep trying with Account Recovery Form as it is the only way you can restore access to your account.

You can submit Account Recovery Form up to two times per day using a device you have used to access your account before and from a similar location. Do this if you find more information or remember something else about your account that will help.

The recovery form is available at https://account.live.com/acsr

To track the last retailer try to check your personal mail and search for Microsoft it might give you result regarding the information you need.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you need more help please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
    Jansher
