    Hi There,

After the October 2025 OneNote update, many iPad users began reporting that tapping Share > Send Copy of Page either does nothing or causes the app to glitch or close unexpectedly. This issue seems to be tied to a compatibility problem between the latest OneNote version and iPadOS, particularly on devices running iPadOS 17.5 or later.

The feature is meant to let you export a note as a PDF or share it via email or other apps so when it fails, it can really disrupt your workflow.

here are a few things you can try in the meantime:

Force Close and Restart OneNote Swipe up from the bottom of your iPad screen, find OneNote, and swipe it away to close it completely. Then reopen the app.

Reinstall OneNote Delete the app, restart your iPad, and reinstall OneNote from the App Store. This can help clear out any corrupted settings.

Update iPadOS Some users have reported that updating to iPadOS 17.5.1 resolved the issue for them. You can check for updates under Settings > General > Software Update.

Use OneNote on Another Device If you urgently need to share a page, try using OneNote on a Windows PC, Mac, or even your iPhone. The feature may still work there.

Try OneNote Web Visit onenote.com in Safari or another browser on your iPad. You might be able to copy or export the content from there, though formatting may vary.

I recommend submitting feedback directly from the app:.

Feedback Hub app - Microsoft Support

Open OneNote > Tap your profile icon > Help > Send Feedback

Describe the issue and mention your iPad model and iPadOS version

You’ve done the right thing by reaching out. This is a known issue, and while it’s frustrating, it’s likely to be resolved in an upcoming update. In the meantime, I’m here to help you with any workarounds or alternatives you might need.

Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!

Still note resolved. The old version (16.95) on my iphone works as it hasn't been updated. The updated version on my ipad still doesn't work (version 16.102.3).

Come on MS. We are paying for this software and rely on it day to day, and you have broken it!
