How to activate microsoft product for office 2019

Microsoft word,excel and powepiont are not working l have tried but do not have access to the product key and failing to find it.

Remember a one-time purchase version of Office​​​​​​​ is licensed for one install only.

If you're reinstalling Office, and you've already redeemed a product key and have an account associated with Office, then go to the section sign in to download Office.​​​​​​​

If you don't have product key and have not activated Office under your Microsoft account, you can try finding receipt and contacting Microsoft customer service in case if they can help you with activation, but if you don't have even a proof of purchase, you can't do anything.

Hi Melody Chatambudza, I know how frustrating it is when Word, Excel, and PowerPoint won’t work and you can’t find the product key to activate Office 2019.

If Office 2019 was purchased digitally or came pre-installed, it may be linked to your Microsoft account. Go to account.microsoft.com, sign in, and check under Services & subscriptions. If Office 2019 is listed there, click Install and follow the prompts activation should happen automatically.

If Office was previously activated on your PC, you can try retrieving the key. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and type:

wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey

This may show the original key tied to your device.

If that doesn’t work, download the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. Choose Office > I have problems activating Office. It’ll try to fix the issue automatically.
