Hi Susan Alex,
Good Day. I hope everything is fine. The latest Windows 11 updated has been causing random USB and Bluetooth audio disconnections, specially with devices with dongles like wireless headsets.
First, try to reinstall your audio drivers. Press Windows+X > Device Manager > Expand Sound, video and game controllers > Right Click your HyperXHeadset and choose Uninstall device. Unplug the dongle > Restart your PC > Plug the dongle again so windows will reinstall a fresh driver for it.
(NOTE: Plug the dongle in rear USB port for the meantime, to make sure that the front USB ports (casing usb port) is isolated from the problem).
Second, same as first option try the same steps but this time do it with USB drivers. In Device Manager > Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers > Right click each USB Host Controller > Uninstall device. Restart Windows and it will reinstall them automatically.
Third, Disable USB Power saving. This is to stop Windows in turning off USB ports (where your dongle is plugged) to save power. To do this press "Windows+x" > Device Manager >Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers > For each USB Root Hub > Right click > Properties > Power Management tab > Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Restart your PC, then observe your audio again.
Fourth, Visit your HyperX firmware update, choose your headset model and download the latest firmware update utility.
Fifth, as temporary fix, you can roll back to your previous working updates by uninstalling your latest update, and wait until Microsoft releases a fixed before reinstalling. To do this Press Windows+I > Windows update > Updated History > Uninstall updates. Look for the most recent update for Windows 11.
I hope I made some help with your audio problems.
Regards,
Jhun
