I haven't used my e-mail address for awhile and can't seem to remember the password. I'm trying to update my new e-mail on a different platform but in order to do that, I need to confirm the verification codes being sent to the old e-mail, but I'm not getting anywhere!
Can someone please help me!

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

It means that you haven't updated your Security Information on your new e-mail account.

You have two options here -

    1. One is to recover your old email account or
    2. Replace your security information in your new account.

So, what happens if you try to reset your password for your old email account?

    https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

Note - You will be asked to verify your Identity using an alternate phone number or email address.

If you're unable to reset your password for your old account, then you will have to proceed with replacing the Security information on your new account.

If you no longer have any other verification methods, select 'I don't have any of these' and follow the prompts to replace the Security information.

Note - If you remove all of your previous security information and replace it with something new, your account will be put into the restricted state for 30 days.
