When attempting to create a new Microsoft account, after successfully completing the captcha "Press and Hold" test the following text is displayed below the button.

Repeatedly, I see this error: "NoSuchKeyThe specified key does not exist. No such object: public-sensor-pages/msft/px/captcha_close"

I canot proceed.

Browser was Chrome, current version. Mac OS

Hi Bruce Gray, thanks for bringing this up. That error messageNoSuchKeyThe specified key does not exist. No such object: public-sensor-pages/msft/px/captcha_close usually points to a temporary issue with Microsoft’s CAPTCHA service, not your browser or device.

First, try switching to a different browser like Safari or Firefox. Several users on Reddit and Microsoft forums have reported that the error disappears when using a browser other than Chrome.

Second, you might want to try using Incognito/Private mode or clearing your browser cache and cookies. This can help bypass any cached errors that may be interfering with the CAPTCHA.

Lastly, if the issue persists, try creating the account from a different device (like a mobile phone or Windows PC), or wait a bit and try again later this often resolves itself once the backend is updated.

Let us know if any of these steps work for you, Bruce!

If this helps, please mark the answer as accepted so others can find it too.

    Best,
    Carl
