Dear Microsoft,

I wish to reach out to Microsoft regarding Windows 11 operating system.
Which in years of testing since I am in the IT servicing sector Windows 11 is by the most problematic OS I even used.

In recent periods Windows 11 have been plagued by issues after one issue.
I do beg the question why end Windows 10 even though Microsoft have allowed extended ESU for another year.

The thing with Windows 11 is that for this OS it heavily relies on security features.
When Windows 11 was first released in 2021 many have criticized the security features.
First was the VBS Memory integrity which affect RAM performance thus impacting system performance.

Second was in recent years the disk encryption was enabled by default for both Home and Pro version. Previously only Windows 10 Pro and 11 pro disk encryption was turned by default but now home version have this turn on by default.

Disk encryption slows down the CPU and SSD since whenever data is written it will be encrypted. Last feature was a feature since Windows 8 which have not been removed since introduction of SSD. That is fast Startup which was introduced during Windows 8 period where majority of PCs are still running HDD.

Fast startup puts the PC into hibernation thus the PC will start faster especially when it is using HDD. Modern PCs these days come with SSD thus fast Startup must be removed as in years in my field. I do notice Fast Startup causes lots of problem from RAM failure as well as motherboard does not wake up properly.

Basically, the PC went into hibernation sometimes if the motherboard BIOS get corrupted which does happened. That PC won’t be able to boot up anymore thus either the motherboard or RAM must be replaced.

I am urging Microsoft to review security features of Windows 11 which is the primary reasons why millions of users using older hardware can’t update to Windows 11. Majority of PCs especially for example Intel Skylake Intel 6th/7th are capable CPUs, but they are not strong enough for Windows 11 security features.

With both VBS and disk encryption enabled the OS will slow down on weaker or older CPU.
I urged Microsoft instead of ending Windows 10 please review whether can you consider making Windows 10 as Windows 11 Lite. Afterall Windows 11 is based on Windows 10 is the same as Windows 7 which is based on Windows Vista.

Windows 10 Lite or Windows 11 Lite will be more suitable for home users than commercial users. Especially security features will chew the PC performance since most home users are using their PC for gaming.

Security vulnerabilities do not solely impact on Windows and game performance. It also depends on other variables especially most gamers play online which can put the game vulnerable to attacks. This is where Microsoft Security centre should come into play, but Windows defender detection and features are way behind paid anti-virus in the market.

If I am blunt Windows 11 security feature isn’t effective in protecting one’s PC. Microsoft Security centre should revamp or scrap. Allow other Anti-virus to integrate their AV software with Windows to make it safer.

I sincerely hope Microsoft please consider what I shared. Windows 11 keep breaking now and then it also blunders users as well as technician out there. Especially recent RE environment breaking which make us technician confused as what was going on.

However, the truth is Windows 11 will break now and then which is why I still prefer Windows 10. However, Windows 10 current issue is the Windows 11 Media creation tool is block. As if I try to run it, the Creation tool will just close on it own.
