    Hi @Eldhose Raju

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum. Yes, you can automatically delete Teams channel messages using Microsoft Purview’s Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) retention policies. This is the recommended approach for organization-wide message deletion, as it runs continuously and does not require manual intervention.

How it works: You can create a retention policy that targets Teams channel messages, and configure it to automatically delete messages after a specified retention period. Messages will be eligible for deletion based on their creation date or last modified date, depending on your policy settings.

To use retention policies in Microsoft Purview, each user whose content is subject to the policy must have one of the following licenses:

User's image Additionally, you’ll need appropriate permissions such as:

    • Global Administrator
    • Compliance Administrator

You can find more details here: Microsoft 365 guidance for security & compliance - Service Descriptions | Microsoft Learn

To create retention policies that automatically delete Teams channel messages, you can refer to the following documentation. These guides walk you through the steps to set up and manage retention policies using Microsoft Purview:
