Clarification on OAuth Client Credentials Grant availability for custom Entra ID applications

I’m implementing SCIM support in my CRM system for user provisioning and testing it with Microsoft Entra ID.

Previously, it seemed that the OAuth Client Credentials Grant flow was available only for applications published in the Microsoft Entra App Gallery, while custom (own) applications could use only Bearer authentication - that’s what I saw last week.

But today I noticed that OAuth Client Credentials Grant can now be selected from a dropdown even for custom applications.User's image

Can anyone confirm if OAuth Client Credentials Grant is now generally available for all Entra ID applications, including custom ones?

    Hello @MK,

Yes, the OAuth Client Credentials Grant flow is available for custom applications too (created using option "Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery)").
