How do I merge my 365 business Outlook account with my 365 personal Outlook account? As a cost-saving move, I want to end/delete/terminate my MS365 Business Outlook account next month.

    Hi Jef,

I understand you’d like to combine your Microsoft 365 Business Outlook account with your personal Outlook account, but unfortunately, it’s not technically possible to merge the two. This is because business and personal Outlook accounts are managed in completely separate systems since business accounts use Microsoft Entra ID or currently known as Azure Active Directory under your organization, while personal Outlook accounts (like Outlook.com or Hotmail) are managed under Microsoft’s consumer platform. Since these two systems don’t connect, their data and licenses can’t be combined into one account.

What you can do instead is transfer your information from the business account to your personal one. You can export your emails, contacts, and calendar from the business account and then import them into your personal Outlook. Before you cancel your business subscription, it’s also a good idea to set up email forwarding so you don’t miss any messages, and make sure to download or move any files saved in OneDrive or SharePoint. This way, you’ll still have access to everything you need even after the business account is closed.
