    Hi Lisa,

Let me reassure you: You do not need to upgrade to Windows 11 just because you have a Microsoft 365 Family plan. Your current setup with Windows 10 is still fully compatible with all Microsoft 365 apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive.

    Why this question comes up:

Microsoft often promotes Windows 11 alongside Microsoft 365, which can make it seem like upgrading is required. But in reality, the subscription works independently of your Windows version as long as you're on a supported version like Windows 10.

A few things to keep in mind:

Windows 10 support ends October 14, 2025, so you’ll not receiving security updates.

Microsoft 365 Family gives you access to premium features and 1 TB of OneDrive storage per user, regardless of whether you're on Windows 10 or 11.

If your device meets the requirements and you're interested in newer features or extended support, upgrading to Windows 11 is optional but not mandatory.

If you'd like help checking whether your device is compatible with Windows 11 or want to know what benefits it might offer for your workflow, I’d be happy to assist.
