Recently, my internet keeps disconnecting, although I have pretty decent internet, it works on my phone and other devices, but on my PC sometimes it would just drop out and says, “No internet, secured”, I would then reset the router and the problem would be fix for a little bit then it goes back to that. I’ve tried all the fixes that I could look up - updating wifi drivers, or wifi troubleshooting, which the result comes back as “Wifi doesn’t have a valid IP configuration”.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

The error message indicates that your Windows PC is failing to properly assign an IP address from the router.

You can try running a few troubleshooting steps and see if it helps.

    Option 1. Reset network components.

Run these commands one by one Command Prompt (Admin) Window.

    netsh winsock reset
    netsh int ip reset
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns

    Once completed, restart your computer.

    Option 2. Reinstall Wi-Fi drivers.

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Expand the arrow next to Network adapters.
    • Right-click your default Wi-Fi drivers (Intel or Realtek), select Uninstall device, select the Attempt to remove the driver for this device check box, and then select Uninstall.
    • Once uninstalled, restart your PC.

Windows will automatically install the drivers for your PC. If you're still experiencing the same issue, we can next manually change the IP address for your Network adapter (TCP/IPv4).

Let me know how it goes.

I think I might have found the problem, my internet has 2.4GHz, 5GHz and EXT. My house camera system is set up with some network adapter, which then connects to EXT or something, and if I turn off the EXT, my wifi works, but that also means that my normal wifi which I connect to (5GHz) wouldn't work for my PC. I'm not sure how to find my way around this problem though.
