Thank you for posting your question in the Q&A Forum.
I understand how frustrating it must be to get locked out of your Outlook account due to the Authenticator app issue.
Given the tag on your post is For Education, this might be a school-managed account. These types of accounts are generally managed by the school’s IT department.
As a moderator, I don’t have access to your account or the ability to reset your MFA settings, but the best thing to do would be to reach out to your school’s IT support team. They’ll be able to help you reset your MFA or set up an alternative way to verify your identity.
When contacting IT Support, please provide the following details:
- Your full name and email address.
- A description of the issue (you’re locked out because you don't have the Authenticator app set up, and no other verification methods are available).
Once your IT team assists you, they will likely help you set up a new verification method to prevent future issues.
Your IT team typically manages these settings in the Microsoft Entra admin center. For their reference, they can manage authentication methods and policies here: Manage user authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like any help drafting a message to your administrator or if you need further assistance. I'm here to help however I can, and I really hope this gets resolved for you soon.
