Hello @Reina Zastron
Welcome to Q&A forum!
Thank you for reaching out. Based on what you’ve shared, I’ve reviewed the information and outlined the steps below using my Classic Outlook on Windows. I’ll do my best to guide you clearly so you can follow along.
Along the way, if anything is unclear or we’ve misunderstood each other, please feel free to send screenshots or share a few more details so I can assist you further.
Steps to Set Up a Teams Meeting in Classic Outlook:
1/ Click the "Calendar" button in the right-hand display panel (as shown in the first image).
2/ Type the meeting name. For example, I used “meeting test 1” to test it for you.
3/ Double-click on the meeting name (as indicated by the arrow in image 1).
4/ A new window will appear. In the "Teams Meeting" section, select "Schedule Meeting".
5/ A detailed meeting setup window will appear (as shown in image 3). Here, you can enter all necessary information. You’ll also see the meeting link, meeting ID, and passcode.
6/ To switch to Teams and start the meeting, click the link next to "Join" (highlighted by the large arrow in image 3).
7/ After clicking "Join", a browser pop-up will appear with two options:
- Join on the Teams app
- Join on this browser
If you choose "Join on this browser", you can join the meeting online without downloading the Microsoft Teams app.
If you choose "Join on the Teams app" and have already downloaded the desktop app, the Teams window will open, and you can click "Join Now" to enter the meeting.
As mentioned above, you don’t need to download the app to join a meeting, Teams Web version works fine. However, if you plan to use Teams frequently, you can download the app using the link below:

*Important Note:
- The version of Teams available for download now is the New Teams client. As of July 1, 2025, the Classic Teams client is no longer available due to Microsoft’s full rollout of the new version.
- Once installed, you can also set up meetings directly in the Microsoft Teams app, and they will sync normally with your calendar in Classic Outlook.
