I am having the same issue at this momment
Unable to retrieve the app list and link an app in Visual Studio at 2025 year
Unable to retrieve a list of apps and link an app in Visual Studio
Hello. I'm an individual developer with a valid developer subscription and an active developer account and have few interested applications. Access privileges cannot be configured separately (becouse individual , not buisness developer) - it is ok.
BUT:
When I try to link my app through Visual Studio, an error occurs, which cannot be corrected. See the full text of the error message below. This error occurred despite the fact that my account is NOT blocked, access rights are NOT configured separately, and my developer subscription is active.
I've tried clearing caches, re-logging in, update Windows, and reinstalling Visual Studio—the problem remains.
Translation of error message:
"Storage is blocked for this account. Check that the account has permission to read registered app names and is linked to an active developer subscription."
The original text is an error in the window (which has no number and can't even be copied). I had to manually type the text and use text recognition systems on images
"Хранилище заблокировано за эту учетную запись. Проверьте, имеет ли учетная запись разрешение на чтение зарегистрированных имен приложений и связана ли она с действующей подпиской разработчика."
It's terrible that there's no support (via email or a ticket for individual developers), and the problem hasn't been resolved for over a month.
How can I solve this strange problem? And make troubleshooting easier—add the error number to the window, make it possible to copy the text, and show where exactly to go to resolve this issue. This problem just popped up. Nothing changed before it appeared. It's all terrible.
- Visual Studio has been updated - Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 (64-bit) - Current Version 17.14.19
- Windows 10, version 22H2 (build 19045.6456)
Last year, everyone had the same/similar errors: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/Microsoft-Store-is-experiencing-Network-/10680399

A previously identified bug has been fixed—the issue preventing correct app linking has been completely resolved. Re-testing confirmed the absence of any errors.
Please, Microsoft employees, confirm that the problem will not happen again?
