My email @schleier is a private e-mail account, with no company or administrator. I can use most MSFT products with my private account, however my private Outlook Exchange is complaining that my administrator needs to reset the account and refuses the login. I also got the message that my mail exists as Private AND business account (attqched).

Can you please DELETE the business account.

PS: I contacted MSFT consumer support and they told me that only business support can delete the business account.

    Hi Juerg,

Could you please go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/organizations page , log in with your problematic email and see if you can remove the organizations from there?

If not, your account might be in Active Directory of an organization.

    Please keep me posted.

I can't login into Myaccount - I don't have the login credentials. I get the message to contact the administrator - and this is a privat account with no administrator.

The message in your screen shot basically means that Microsoft can't tell for certain if the account is a personal one or a business one. This sometimes happens when your personal Microsoft account is NOT @outlook.com or @hotmail.com etc.

If you don't actually have a business / organization account, there is no such account that needs to be deleted.

To prevent the prompt from displaying, set up an @outlook.com alias for your personal user account. Go to https://account.microsoft.com .

Done. But now "******@outlook.com" is the primary and only e-mail on my account. I can't add @schleier.net as user. I get an error message "this e-mail (@schleier.net) belongs to an organization ....." -> see print screen: Screenshot 2025-10-31 142356.png

You should see both e-mail addresses listed as aliases—one being the primary alias and the other a "secondary" alias. If you actually removed the @schleier.net address, I don't think it will be possible to add it back.
