How to recover Microsoft Authenticator codes without cloud backup?

Hello. I recently got a new phone and lost access to my previous Microsoft Authenticator accounts. I thought I had cloud backup enabled, but when I checked on my new phone, I did not have any accounts on it anymore. There is one account that the only way for me to sign in is through a code from the authenticator, and the organization the account is made with will not disable it or allow me another authentication method. I have tried to perform a full backup of my old phone, but with the same outcome; I still do not have any of my old accounts on the app. Is there any way for me to recover the codes I had from my old phone?

Hello Tanner! No—there’s no way to recover Microsoft Authenticator codes without a cloud backup or the original device, because the secret keys are stored locally for security; Microsoft cannot regenerate or export them afterward

Your only recovery path is an MFA reset by the account owner or organization (or use saved recovery codes/alternate methods if any exist); otherwise the admin must remove Authenticator and re‑enroll you on a new device
