My new mac (15.6) and my new office2024 purchase don't seem to work together yet. When I open it I keep getting offers to purchase office 365. It says my license is not activated but I can't find a way to activate it. None of the questions I see on microsofts webpages seem to help or have useful solutions. Was buying an MS product a waste of my money? Should I have just stuck with Google docs?

No. The prompts I get do not match these instructions and it lets me login, but then it acts like I have Microsoft 365 (which I don't) and won't let me edit Microsoft Office 2024 on my desktop. Read only. If I check about it says it isn't licensed. How do I get the license to activate? I have a 25 digit code on a card I bought???
When I refresh my license it says "your Office365 license is up to date" but that is not the license I bought nor want to buy. I bought and want office 2024 as I want to use it without wifi sometimes
I'm not sure what you mean by refresh your license but it sounds like you either had a prior version of Office installed or have used the Microsoft 3t65 Free Trial.
