How do I make my excel calendar spreadsheet fit on my iphone

I have an Excel calendar that is stored on a shared onedrive folder. When I open it, the whole document is visible on my iphone screen and I can zoom in or out to see the sheet. That is the 2025 calendar. I recently added a 2026 calendar just the same as the 25 version; however when I open this file the sheet doesn't show as one spreadsheet fitting on the iphone screen. It appears the sheet is forced to show the 1st to the 14th of each month like it's wrapping when it gets to the edge of the phone. If I scroll down I see all the half sheets until I reach December then it starts showing me the 15th to the 31st of each month.

I can zoom IN to see details of the spread sheet but I can't zoom OUT. Doesn't matter whether I turn the phone to landscape or not. The rotation isn't locked, if I turn the phone to landscape the sheet moves accordingly but still won't show the full sheet. I can't find any setting to show the full document. It's fine when viewed on the PC. It's just something on this sheet and the iphone. Any help please!

    Hi David,

I really appreciate the clear explanation, that makes it much easier to understand what’s going on. From what you’ve described, it sounds like the issue is tied to how the 2026 calendar spreadsheet is being displayed on your iPhone. The 2025 version behaves just fine, but the newer one seems to be wrapping oddly, showing only part of each month at a time and splitting the view in a way that makes it hard to see the full sheet.

This kind of issue usually comes down to how the spreadsheet is set up. Things like frozen panes, split views, or defined print areas can affect how Excel displays the file, especially on a phone. It might even be treating the sheet like it's split into multiple pages, which would explain the odd wrapping and split view. The best way to sort it out is to open the file on your PC and check those settings.

Try turning off any frozen panes, switch the view back to “Normal” if it’s set to something like “Page Layout,” and clear any print areas that might be defined. It’s also worth checking for page breaks, since they can cause Excel to split the sheet into sections. If you zoom out on your PC and save the file that way, Excel on your iPhone may follow that zoom level. You could also compare the 2025 and 2026 calendars side by side to spot any differences in formatting, like column widths or merged cells.

On the iPhone itself, Excel’s mobile app doesn’t give you much control. You can zoom in, but zooming out is limited depending on how the sheet is formatted. If there’s a “Zoom to Fit” option in the menu, give that a try, but if not, the best fix is really to adjust the file on your PC and re-upload it to OneDrive.

Let me know how it goes, happy to help however I can.

    All the best,

    Edward

    Hi Ed

Thanks for your advice, I am still unable to fix this. I'm wondering if it is because the creator of the spreadsheet had it set to read only but I believe this was changed but there is no change to the sheet.
