    Hi,

If Word asks to open a file with "Text Recovery Converter," it means the document may be damaged or saved incorrectly. You can try this, First, open Word manually (don’t double-click the file), go to File > Open > Browse, select the file, and under "Files of type," choose Recover Text from Any File to extract whatever text is still readable. If Word itself won’t launch, try starting it in Safe Mode by pressing Windows + R, typing winword /safe, and pressing Enter, this runs Word without add-ins that might cause crashes. If the app still won’t open, sign in to Office.com and upload the document to Word Online, which sometimes repairs damaged files better. These steps help isolate whether the issue is with Word itself or just the file’s contents.

    Kind regards,

What happens if you use the Sign In options? Are you able to sign in & use the program?

Can you open the file in the Word web app?

there is no 'browse' option, so now what do I do? Tried to upload to Google docs but that doesn't work either. Very frustrating.
