Transferring Personal to Family 365 (without getting unsubscribed)

I have set up a 365 Family account with my wife and me on it. I understood that when my personal account ended that I would automatically transfer to the Family account and I would retain access to Microsoft tools as part of the Family package. That hasn't happened. My personal account ended today and I no longer have access to Microsoft. How to remedy this please?

If your wife is the owner of the Microsoft 365 Family subscription, did she use this method to share her subscription with you and send you a link that you can use with your own Microsoft account details to re-install Microsoft 36?

I think I am the owner. How would I confirm this?

If you sign in to your Microsoft account you should see the product information and you should also see that you have shared the subscription with your wife.
