    Hello,

On the sign in screen before signing into Windows, do you have "sign in options" you can click on? If you do, click on it, then switch to using PIN instead.

If you don't have this option, it can be that your PIN is not set up yet. Then go to Windows settings > Accounts > Sign in options to set it up.

To log on to your computer using a PIN instead of a password, you need to set up Windows Hello, which allows you to use a PIN as a credential for signing in. Here are the steps to set it up:

    1. Open Settings: Go to the Start menu and select Settings.
    2. Accounts: Click on Accounts.
    3. Sign-in options: In the left sidebar, select Sign-in options.
    4. Windows Hello PIN: Look for the Windows Hello PIN section and click on Add (if you haven't set it up yet) or Change (if you want to modify your existing PIN).
    5. Set up your PIN: Follow the prompts to create your PIN. You may be required to enter your Microsoft account password to verify your identity.
    6. Log in with your PIN: Once set up, you can use your PIN to log in to your device instead of your password.

Additionally, Windows Hello PIN can be used even in Safe Mode, which enhances your ability to troubleshoot without needing a password.
