Hi @Kirti Gupta
Welcome to Q&A Community!
Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue with Microsoft Authenticator notifications. I understand that you were previously receiving sign-in approval requests on your mobile device, but they have stopped appearing today. I will assist you in resolving this matter.
To make sure we're aligned and avoid from any misunderstanding, please let me know a few details about your issue by answering these questions:
- Are you signed in with a personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com), an education account (e.g., @school.edu), or a work account (e.g., @yourcompany.com)?
- What is the make and model of your mobile device, and which operating system version is it running (iOS or Android)?
- Do you know if anyone in your business experiencing the same issue?
- When attempting to sign in, is your mobile device connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data? Have you tried switching between the two? Could you confirm that it's stable during the process?
- Can you confirm that your account is still listed within Microsoft Authenticator app?
- Have there been any recent updates to your device, the Authenticator app, or changes to your organization’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) policies?
- Could you try logging in on another device and confirm if it could log you in?
While waiting for your confirmation, I recommend you check the following and make changes where necessary.
Verify Notification Permissions:
Kindly ensure that notifications are enabled for the Microsoft Authenticator app in your device settings.
- For iOS: Navigate to Settings > Notifications > Microsoft Authenticator and confirm that notifications are allowed.
- For Android: Navigate to Settings > Apps > Microsoft Authenticator > Notifications and confirm that notifications are enabled.
Update or Reinstall the App:
Confirm that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Authenticator. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Please note that you may need backup codes or assistance from your IT administrator to re-register your account.
Alternative Sign-In Methods:
If push notifications are unavailable, you can still complete the sign-in process using the six-digit verification code from the Authenticator app or via SMS/phone call if these options are enabled in your MFA settings.
Re-register Your Account:
If your account is missing or inactive in the app, you may need to re-add it through your organization’s MFA setup portal.
To achieve this, you'll need to reach out to your IT Admin for assistance.
Please have your administrator follow the steps shown in the following article:Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multi-factor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID …
