Edge has stopped autofilling usernames and passwords in my android apps.

I can see the passwords are saved but autofill just does not work.

On some programs like messenger it is coming up with the autofill information in the message box but does not work on any of my apps

Hi Darryn, I hear the frustration behind what you’re dealing with. When something as simple as autofill stops working, it can feel like the system is working against you instead of making life easier.

To fix Edge autofill issues on Android set Microsoft Edge or Authenticator as the Autofill service in Settings toggle it off and on and restart your phone then update Edge Authenticator, and Google Play Services, clear Edge’s cache(or data if needed remember that some apps like Messenger or banking apps block third party autofill by design ensure password sync is enabled in Edge and if problems persist switch to Microsoft Authenticator as the autofill provider for better app integration.

When you try to log in to your apps do you see the autofill prompt appear at all, or is it completely missing from the login fields?

    Best regards

This is really upsetting because the teams just don't talk to each other anymore. Back in the day they had an area of focus and made sure that area worked. There was no integration until both sides tested. Now we are all one huge beta test. They discontinue Authenticator, which was nearly perfect, and give us stuff that less than half works and is broken with each update. Aaaannnnddd, as I try to post this, see image. 1000011253
