You don’t currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription

Hello,

I’m enrolled in the Microsoft 365 Developer Program using my Microsoft account (<Remove PII>@outlook.com).

My dashboard shows:

“You don’t currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.”

I have already deleted and re-joined several times, but it appears my old tenant (<Remove PII>.onmicrosoft.com) is still linked to my profile.

Could you please reset or unlink the existing tenant so I can create a new E5 Developer sandbox?

Thank you,

<Remove PII>

    Hi @FocusFind

Thank you so much for contacting Microsoft Q&A Forum.

Based on your description, I understand you're in a frustrating loop where you're unable to get a new M365 E5 Developer sandbox because you get a "does not qualify" message, and you suspect your old tenant is still linked.

To help me, could I first ask how long ago you deleted your old developer program account?

I need to clarify that I am a moderator and do not have access to the backend systems for the M365 Developer Program. The entire qualification and approval process is managed by an automated system, and I cannot manually reset or unlink your old tenant.

However, I will help as much as I can by providing the official information I've found. Based on the program's documentation, the timeline is the most critical factor here.

To use the same information (like a phone number) from a previous account, you must first delete the old developer program account it was linked to.

    • Important: The documentation states that if you delete your Developer Program account, you may not be able to get a new subscription for up to 60 days.

    Recommended Next Steps

    1. Wait for 60 Days: If it has been less than 60 days since you deleted your old account, you will need to wait for that full period to pass before the system will consider you for a new subscription.
    2. Use New Information: The potential workaround is to register for the program using completely new and unique information:
      • A new Microsoft account
      • A new phone number that has never been associated with the developer program before.

You can find more details in the official documentation here:

I hope you can resolve this issue quickly.
