Who can I contact about Bing Places for Business' broken verification process and support with the Virtual Assistant chat service?

Bing Places for Business' verification process and support via the Virtual Assistant chat service are broken.

I need to update information in my Bing Places for Business listing, Ted's Video Services, and because the business phone number had changed, I had to verify my account via mail. I have requested two verification PINs by mail so far, and neither of the PINs worked! Specifically, when I click on "Submit" after entering the six-digit number in the "Enter your verification PIN" section of account page, nothing happens.

Over the course of several days, I attempted to reach Bing Places For Business support via the Microsoft Virtual Assistant chat, but nobody came online to chat with me about the issue. And I have tried different web browsers, including Edge. Worse, the wait time is an hour.

On October 28, 2025, the chat was stuck at "Connecting you to a live agent . . . Your current position is 1" for over SIX HOURS . . .

(If I reload the page, then I get sent back to end of the chat queue.)

Furthermore, I contacted @Bing and @Microsoft on Threads about the issues and got no response.

This has been annoying and such a waste of my time.

Who can help me fix these problems with Microsoft Bing Places for Business?

    Hello Ted,

Thanks for reaching out to the forum. The best way to get help for Bing Places for Business issues, including broken verification and the Virtual Assistant chat problem, is through the official Bing Places Support Contact Form. Here’s what you can do:

    1. Go to bingplaces.com and sign in with the account linked to your business.
    2. Navigate to the Help & Support section and use the Contact Form. You’ll need to authenticate, select your region, and submit your issue. Microsoft typically follows up via email, which is more reliable than the chat queue that many users report as non-functional. [seroundtable.com], [learn.microsoft.com]
    3. If the form fails or you need alternatives, you can also try the general Microsoft Support Contact page for live chat or other options. [support.mi...rosoft.com]

The Virtual Assistant chat service is known to have long delays and often doesn’t connect, so bypassing it and using the form is recommended.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Rez

I had the same experience waiting for an hour to get to chat about my account. It was fixed.

I really encourage you to wait and allow someone from support to guide and help you.

    All the best,

    Rez

UPDATE - Strangely, I finally got someone and chatted with them on the Microsoft Virtual Assistant chat service using the Safari browser on a Mac computer!

    Nonetheless, the issues remain:

    1. Why don't the verification PINs work?
    2. How come nobody comes online in the Microsoft Virtual Assistant chat when I use a Windows computer? (And I've tried using Opera, Edge, and Chrome web browsers.)

I've been communicating with an agent in support via email, and it appears the issue with the verification PINs not working is related to the new UI platform for Bing Places for Business. He will also pass along the problem about the Microsoft Virtual Assistant chat service to the backend team.

If you're unable to chat with someone in Microsoft Virtual Assistant chat on a Windows computer, I can only suggest try using a computer on a different operating system, like macOS.
