    Daryl,

May I please know if you're having trouble sending emails to one particular recipient?

Because the error 550 5.7.1 is an SMTP error, which means the recipient's email server is rejecting your email. Either they might have blocked or marked you as SPAM accidentally.

Could you please try sending an email to a different contact and see if you can send emails normally? If you're able to send an email to another recipient, the problem is likely on the recipient’s mail server side.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

I understand that you're having trouble sending emails.

    1. May I please know if it is a Work/Personal Microsoft account?
    2. Are you able to receive emails normally?
    3. What is the exact delivery error message you see when trying to send emails that remain in your Outbox?
    4. Did you try sending emails from Outlook.com (the web version) to see if the issue persists there as well?

If Outlook is not sending emails and they are stuck in the Outbox, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some common causes and solutions:

    1. Metered Connection Warning: If you are on a metered connection, Outlook may not send emails. You might see a warning message indicating that the connection could incur extra charges. To resolve this, try connecting to a WiFi or LAN network that isn't metered.
    2. Stuck Messages: Sometimes, a read receipt or another message can get stuck in the Outbox, causing Outlook to continuously attempt to send it. You can use the MFCMAPI tool to delete any stuck messages. Make sure Outlook is closed before using this tool.
    3. SMTP Server Issues: If there are problems with the SMTP server, it may prevent emails from being sent. Check your internet connection and ensure that your email account settings are correct.
    4. Outlook Profile Issues: If the Outlook profile is corrupted, it may lead to sending issues. You might need to create a new Outlook profile to resolve this.
    5. Upgrade in Progress: If your mailbox is currently being optimized as part of an upgrade, this may temporarily affect performance and sending capabilities. Wait for the process to complete.

By addressing these potential issues, you should be able to resolve the problem of emails not sending from Outlook.
