Windows 11 can't get activated with digital license

Hi there, I recently purchased a digital license for Windows 11 Home and installed it on my new desktop (I wasn't using this license on any other devices before). I signed in with my Microsoft account after the installation. However, when I try to activate the license, the activation troubleshooter also fails.

What’s even more frustrating is that I can’t contact Microsoft chat support. It says chat support isn’t available because my account isn’t an organizational one.

    Hi Burak,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand you're having trouble activating Windows 11 Home with a digital license, even after signing in with your Microsoft account. That can be really frustrating, especially when the troubleshooter isn’t helping.

This usually happens when the license isn’t properly linked to your account or the system doesn’t recognize your device as eligible. Even with a valid license, Windows needs to confirm it’s tied to your current hardware and Microsoft account.

I'd suggest checking your Microsoft account if its correctly linked to the license. Go to Settings > System > Activation, and check if it says, “Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account.” If not, try selecting Add an account and sign in again. If the troubleshooter still fails, you can try activating by phone using the command slui 4 in the Run dialog (press Win + R), which will guide you through phone activation.

Did you purchase the license directly from Microsoft or a third-party? That can affect how it activates. Let me know and I’ll help you further if needed.

    Regards,
    Carlo

    Hi Burak,

just to clarify did you press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box, and nothing happened, or were you typing SLUI 4 directly into the Windows search bar instead?
