When I open a new browser tab in Edge, Copilot Discover (preview) interfeers with Edges functions

I use Microsoft Edge as my primary browser, and I also have a weather display on it for when I open a new tab. Today though it seems the Copilot Discover Preview switch has decided to plant itself right where the weather display was/is supposed to be. I have tried MANY things to remove that Copilot swtich that I am NEVER going to use. I have tried going into the browser settings and toggeling off all things related to Copilot and yet that preview switch persists in appearing in new browser tabs. Is there ANYTHING at all i can do to get rid of this Copilot Preview Swtich or am i stuck with it? I should note I have no intention of ever using Copilot, I like my browser setup the way I have it already

Linux is looking more and more inviting.

2025-11-22T03:58:06.9666667+00:00 the switch as i have mentioned is in the upper right corner of any and all new browser tabs i open. Right smack dab where my weather should be lol. And you are correct none of all the so called fixes i have seen work at all. moving to a new browser is looking more and more appealing to me. Just need to transfer all my favorites links

2025-12-01T22:35:51.0766667+00:00 It SEEMS i have accidentally stumbled upon a partual answer to my question. If i change the page layout of a new browser tab to Full Page or Partual View it removes the Copilot swtich where my weather should be displayed. However if i try and use Headings instead if forces the swtich back into view.
