Hi There,
Windows sometimes reverts these settings because:
Sync settings under your Microsoft account restore old preferences from the cloud.
System updates or profile corruption override local changes.
Group Policy or registry conflicts common after upgrades force defaults.
Location-based services or apps may apply regional overrides.
Here’s How to Fix It
Turn Off Language & Region Sync
Go to Settings → Accounts → Windows Backup.
Under Remember my preferences, turn off Language preferences. This stops Windows from pulling region settings from another device.
Apply Settings in Both Places
Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region: Set your country and regional format.
Control Panel → Region (intl.cpl): Under Formats, select your region and click Apply. Doing both ensures consistency across old and new components.
Copy Settings to System Accounts
In Control Panel → Region → Administrative tab, click Copy settings.
Check Welcome screen and system accounts and New user accounts. This prevents resets during updates or login.
Check for Profile or System Issues
Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run:
sfc /scannow
If the problem persists, create a new local account and test.
Optional: Disable Location Overrides
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location.
Turn off location services if apps are forcing region changes.
Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!
