We are unable to access or acquire phone numbers from the Azure Communication Service blade.

The portal consistently shows the message: “Unable to access phone numbers right now. Please try again later.”

We have verified:

  • ACS resource is in <your region, e.g., South Central US / Central India>
  • Subscription is active and paid (non-trial)
  • Role permissions (Owner/Contributor)

Need Microsoft support to confirm:

  • Whether phone number acquisition is available for our region
  • If any backend service or compliance restriction applies
  • Any workaround or ETA for region availability

    Phone number acquisition and availability in Azure Communication Services depend on regional eligibility and subscription billing location. Even if your ACS resource is deployed in a supported region, phone number acquisition may not be available if your billing address or subscription country is not eligible.
