Why can you not sort by list in To Do 'My Day' or 'Planned' views?

In Outlook Tasks I can sort or group the tasks for my day by category, which helps me to easily see how my work for the day is likely to break down. In To Do I have no such option.

To Do onky lets me sort by Importance, Due date, Added to My Day, Alphabetically or Creation date. None of these (other than perhaps Importance, which I find meaningless) help me to organise my work for the day.

Rolling out To Do without the ability to do this was a poor performance by MS.

    Dear @Craig Wilson,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum and sharing your feedback regarding sorting options in Microsoft To Do. Currently, in the My Day and Planned views, tasks can only be sorted by Importance, Due Date, Added to My Day, Alphabetically, or Creation Date. Sorting by list or category is not available at this time.
