When I open Word or PowerPoint, Microsoft asks me to log in to my business or school account to use the programs. I only have a Office 365 home account. I continue to need to click on the interruptive message and delete it. Many times it continues to pop up.

How do I stop this?

    Hello

Can you go to your Windows Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School (note, it is the briefcase icon, not the envelope icon). Then see if the organization email address is still listed? If so, click on it and then disconnect it.

Restart the computer, and tell me if it still does the same?

To stop Microsoft Office from asking you to log in to a business or school account when you only have a Microsoft 365 home account, you can try the following steps:

    1. Sign Out of Office: Open any Office application (like Word or PowerPoint), go to File > Account, and select Sign out. Then, close the application and reopen it.
    2. Remove Connected Services: In the same Account section, look for Connected Services. Remove any services associated with the business or school account.
    3. Clear Cached Credentials: You may need to clear cached credentials that could be causing the issue. Open Control Panel, select Credential Manager, and remove any entries related to the business or school account.
    4. Registry Edit (if necessary): If the issue persists, you can edit the registry to remove cached credentials. Open Run, type regedit, and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity\Identities. Delete any entries associated with the unwanted account. Note: Be careful when editing the registry, as incorrect changes can cause issues with your system.
    5. Restart Your Computer: After making these changes, restart your computer to ensure they take effect.

These steps should help eliminate the prompt to log in to another account.
