Azure file Sync

Question

Hi All,
I would like to ask some questions regarding AZ File Sync:

1. Sync direction is only one way ? From on premise to Azure ?
2. I noticed that if I mount a share and make some changes to a file the changes are not reflected to the file on prem, is this by design ? Can it be changed ?
3. Can I integrate the File share with OneDrive so my molibe people have access to it ?
4. Is it possible to enable File versioning
5. Last, is there a way to see the size of the snapshots?

Hi Francesco, quick answers:

• The sync is bidirectional, but while changes made on the server endpoint are immediately synced, changes on Azure File share could take up to 24 hours to sync.

• On Azure File Sync agent version 9 and above, Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshots (including the Previous Versions tab) are supported on volumes with cloud tiering enabled.

• You can see the size of Azure Files snapshots straight from the Azure Portal, in the storage account blade.
