It seems that you are experiencing issues with your Outlook account after resetting your password. The error message indicating that you have tried failed logins too many times can occur for several reasons:

    1. Incorrect Password: Ensure that you are entering the correct password. If you recently reset your password, double-check that you are using the new one and that there are no extra spaces or typos.
    2. Account Lockout: After multiple failed login attempts, your account may be temporarily locked for security reasons. This is a common security measure to prevent unauthorized access.
    3. Cached Credentials: Sometimes, Outlook may store old credentials. If you have not updated your credentials in the application after the password reset, it may continue to use the old password.

To resolve the issue, you can try the following steps:

    • Wait for a while before attempting to log in again, as the account lockout may be temporary.
    • Clear any cached passwords in Outlook or your system's credential manager.
    • If the problem persists, consider contacting your administrator or Microsoft support for further assistance.

If you need more specific troubleshooting steps, please let me know!

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If you receive "'You've tried too many times with an incorrect account or password'- Wait for 24 hours before signing in again. Sometimes waiting a day can be enough to remove a block. Don't make lots of repeated attempts, as this may reset the time lock.

Another option, try an alternate method to sign in instead of using your password.

That is, after typing your email address (username) and on the next screen where it asks for your password, select "other ways to sign in."

Get the verification code via an alternate email address or phone number, then sign in.

If you're experiencing the same issue after 24 Hours, please try the Account Recovery form here-

Important: The account recovery form can only be used if two-step verification isn't turned on.

    Hello,

Several users have reported the same issue in the last few days. So, the problem might be on Microsoft's server side. I recommend that you wait for some time before logging in or resetting your password, as it may temporarily block your account.

In the meantime, you can use the Account recovery form (Some users said that they were able to regain access to their account after getting verified by Microsoft after filling out the form)

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.
