To configure a Polycom VVX 450 to work with Microsoft Teams, you can use the SIP Gateway. Although the Polycom VVX 450 is not a certified Teams native phone, the SIP Gateway allows organizations to use compatible SIP devices with Teams. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Check Compatibility: Ensure that the Polycom VVX 450 is compatible with the SIP Gateway. According to the documentation, it is listed as a compatible device.
    2. Provisioning Server URL: Set the SIP Gateway provisioning server URL. For Polycom devices, you typically use option 160 for configuration. Ensure the URL begins with "HTTP" and not "HTTPS". For example, use http://noam.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com.
    3. Factory Reset: If the device has been previously configured, perform a factory reset to ensure a clean setup.
    4. Network Configuration: Ensure that your network allows the device to connect to the SIP Gateway. Check firewall settings and ensure that the required ports are open.
    5. Sign-In: Use your corporate credentials to sign in to Teams through the Polycom VVX 450.
    6. Conditional Access: If your organization uses Conditional Access, make sure the IP address of the SIP Gateway is excluded from the policies to avoid authentication issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to configure the Polycom VVX 450 to work with Microsoft Teams using the SIP Gateway.

    Hello @Anushka Jaiswal ,

Good day! Thank you for posting your valuable question on Microsoft Q&A forum.

Although the Polycom VVX 450 is not a Teams-native certified device, it is confirm to be a Compatible device to use the SIP Gateway feature. This enables basic calling functionality while leveraging your existing hardware.

You can check for this information at Plan SIP Gateway - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

    Before Configuration

    • Reset the device to factory defaults (refer to Polycom documentation).
    • Ensure Teams Phone license is assigned to the user.
    • Confirm network readiness:
      • Open TCP port 5061 and UDP ports 49152–53247 for Microsoft IP ranges (52.112.0.0/14, 52.122.0.0/15).
      • Allow HTTP/S traffic to bypass any proxy.
    • SIP devices must not be behind a proxy.
    • Verify that SIP Gateway is enabled in your tenant.

For details on how to Configure Polycom VVX 450 for Microsoft Teams using SIP Gateway, please refer to Configure SIP Gateway - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn
