If you accidentally deleted a SharePoint site, it can be restored within 93 days from the time of deletion. A global or SharePoint admin can restore the deleted site using the SharePoint admin center. Here are the steps to follow:

    1. Access the SharePoint Admin Center: The admin will need to log in to the SharePoint admin center.
    2. Locate Deleted Sites: In the admin center, navigate to the section where deleted sites are listed.
    3. Restore the Site: Select the deleted site and choose the option to restore it.

If the site has been permanently deleted (after 93 days), it cannot be recovered. However, if the files were deleted from within the site, they may still be recoverable from the site's Recycle Bin or the site collection Recycle Bin for a limited time.

For more detailed instructions, you can refer to the relevant Microsoft documentation.

    Dear @Bell Angela

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand you need assistance restoring your SharePoint site.

Deleted sites are typically retained for 93 days in the SharePoint Admin Center under the “Deleted sites” section. If it’s been longer than that, restoration through admin tools may not be possible.

Here’s what you can share with your IT administrator to check and restore the site:

Note: These steps require Global Administrator or SharePoint Administrator permissions.

Sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center and navigate to SharePoint Admin Center

Go to Sites > Deleted sites.

Locate the deleted site in the list.

Select the site and click Restore.

Once the restoration is complete, the site will appear under Active sites. Please take a moment to confirm that all files, document libraries, and permissions have been restored correctly.
