Windows 11 stops in upgrade screen at 2%

I have had Windows 11 installed for a long time and it has been working really good. I wanted to update the system to the latest version and started a full run of all the updates in Windows Update. That included a prerelease of a fix which I cannot remember which one since I cannot get into the laptop at the moment.

It started to work and made a first reboot and went into the upgrade is working screen. There is stopped at 2%. I have waited for 48 hours and nothings happens. I have hard booted the laptop many times but I'm not entering into any fail safe or boot menu.

Not sure of how I should be able to either save the information on the laptop or hos I should resolve the update and get it to work again.

Please advise...

    Hi,

My name is Igor. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll try to help you. I am merely a fellow user trying to provide insight and information that may be helpful to others.

Please use Windows installation media and try recovery steps described at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026030/how-to-use-windows-recovery-environment-winre-to-troubleshoot-common-s

Note, Step 7 may be faulty unfortunately.

If this will not help, use the same environment to run System Restore and roll back to the date before the problem appeared.

    Please tell the result.
