working version of onedrive on Mac OS sierra 10.12.6

I have a mac pro with sierra 10.12.6 on which I would like. to run onedrive to access my files on the cloud. which verion should I install?

Microsoft 365 and Office | OneDrive | For home | MacOS

    Thanks for sharing the details, Esfarjani! Good second question, but short answer is, there’s no officially supported “legacy” OneDrive version for macOS Sierra (10.12.6), the support has ended.

    So given all this, you can lean toward upgrading macOS if your Mac hardware allows it, getting to at least Mojave (10.14) or higher would be much safer / more stable.

    Or using OneDrive via the web, access your files through a browser if you can’t sync reliably.

    I cannot upgrade to any more recent OS. Sierra 10.12.6 is the last one apple lets me upgrade to. The onedrive I had used to work until a few weeks ago. After I came back to work from home today after 4-5 weeks, I see I cannot open it anymore. I can dowloadfiles from the web browser but it's inconvenient to keep uploading and downloading...
