I want to get this out almost 20 years ago on the XBOX 360, I brought an gamer pic pack for the xbox 360, I recently couple months ago put that gamerpic back on my xbox gamerpic, couple days without me knowing I was banned for TWO DAYS, I learned about it when I got on my xbox said I had a two day ban, I talk with Xbox they are saying it offensive and I don't know how it offensive, there no nudity or anything just a guy doing a face, https://xboxgamer.pics/titles/games/duke-nukem-3d the one before the gun pic they say it offensive, I been a loyal xbox fan for many years since og xbox og halo 1, it a shame that xbox made me quit xbox, since they are trying to force me to switch gamer pics.

    Hi Derek Alves

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!

I understand how frustrating it can be to get a ban for something you’ve been using for years, especially when you feel the image isn’t offensive.

Xbox enforcement decisions are based on their Community Standards, which have evolved over time. Even older content can be flagged if it’s now considered inappropriate under current guidelines.

    Why this might have happened

    • Policy changes: Xbox periodically updates its standards for gamer pics and profile content. What was acceptable years ago may now violate rules around suggestive or offensive imagery.
    • Automated enforcement: Many bans are triggered by automated systems or user reports, even if the image seems harmless to you.

    Steps you can take

    • Check the official guidelines here: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/legal/community-standards.
    • If you believe the ban was unfair, you can submit a case review through the https://enforcement.xbox.com. Explain that the image was purchased officially and clarify why you think it complies with the rules.
    • To avoid future bans, even if it's not ideal for you, kindly use images from the current official library or create a custom pic that clearly avoids anything that could be interpreted as offensive.

Hope this can provide some more information regarding this. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
