Your question is unclear. Could you please provide more details about the issue you are experiencing with Excel? Specifically, what do you mean by "doing online gives incorrect answer"? Are you referring to calculations, data syncing, or something else? More context will help in providing a precise solution.

    Hi @Kayser, Md Shahidulla (kayserma),

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your sharing, I suspect the issue happened due to round values issue. In your screenshot, it seems you're doing calculations in Excel online then copying and pasting the data into Excel desktop app or viceversa. In the sheet you use for calculating formulas, the result of the formula might not be 0.002 but it's 0.002xxx and rounded to 0.002. If you use this data for further calculations, Excel will use the original result as 0.002xxx to proceed. However, when you copy paste to Excel desktop, it doesn't store the original result as 0.002xxx but only the rounded number 0.002. That's why when you use the calculation in the desktop app it returns different result.

You can see in my test sheet, both 0.002 and 0.00201 can be rounded as 0.002 but it will have different results in calculation.

Therefore, I suggest you can consider using =ROUND formula to round all calculation results to maintain the accuracy of the data in both Excel web and desktop version or when you copy paste the values to another worksheet. If possible, you can download the Excel online file so it will keep the formula for you to proceed further in Excel desktop app.

I hope the information provided proves useful. Please proceed with the outlined steps and let me know whether they resolve the issue. If not, I’ll be glad to continue working with you to find a solution.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this process. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out at any time.

I look forward to hearing from you.
