I have an opaque screen blocking my input since the Nov MS upgrade. Is this a bug?

On start-up, I am unable to input password since the update. The screen is opaque. The only way to get past this is to do a "restart". This has only happened since the upgrade. I was also blocked with the opaque screen when I was in the middle of a Word document. I thought it was Copilot trying to be too helpful! Anyone else experienced this?

Hi Judith, thanks for sharing. Are you using Windows 11 with the latest update installed?

Microsoft notes that an opaque or frozen screen after an update usually relates to display or sign-in issues. Check for pending updates and make sure your graphics drivers are current through Windows Update. Using the standard restart or sign-in options should bypass the block. If the problem continues, I recommend running startup repair or using Safe Mode to see if the update is causing it.
