I cannot activate windows on my home PC.

I have had this PC for 10 months now and all of a sudden I see this and the permanent "Activate Windows" watermark.

I do not know how to activate windows. I connect to my work network remotely via Citrix but never use my work wifi. Why does it want to activate through my organization server?

That 'Organization' error indicates a volume licence version of Windows is installed on your PC, not a consumer licence, did your employer ever provide your with a Windows licence?

Where did you get your original Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer?

Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

slmgr.vbs /dlv

Please post a screenshot of the resulting dialog

Answer NO, the licence came with the PC I use personnally

It was pre-installed on the PC
