Unrecognized Charges

I have Microsoft charges auto debiting from my corporate checking account. None of my known MS accounts have any reference to these charges. They are consistently multiple monthly charges of $110.00 and we recently received a charge of $2,788.22. If these are associated with an older license package then I'm unaware of the legacy agreement. In any event, we have all the MS Accounts and Subscriptions we need in our Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Therefore I need to delete and remove the services creating these phantom charges. The most recent charge on 10 November 2025 was in the amount of $2,788.22. The descriptive text provided was: POS Purchase Non-PIN Microsoft-G123601814 Redmond WA 99999999 and then the last 4 of my card. How can I find out what I'm being charged for given this information?

    Hello Kevin W Miller,

I understand how worrying it is to see recurring Microsoft charges that don’t match any of your known accounts. The description you shared points to a Microsoft commerce transaction, but it doesn’t reveal which subscription or tenant it belongs to. These charges often come from legacy agreements, accounts outside your current Microsoft 365 Admin Center, or even multiple tenants created in the past.

To track this down, start by checking the Billing portal in your Microsoft 365 Admin Center and confirm which cards are linked. You can also visit the Microsoft Account Services page with the cardholder’s email to see subscriptions tied to that payment method. If nothing shows up, contact Microsoft Commerce Support with the transaction ID and card details — they can trace the charge to the exact subscription so you can cancel or transfer it.

Let me know how it goes, and if this answer helps, feel free to hit “Accept Answer” so others can benefit too 😊
