Dear @Max Thayer,
Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!
Based on your description, I understand that you’re experiencing a bit of confusion with the scheduled email feature in Outlook. When you scheduled the email, it ended up in your Deleted Items instead of your Drafts, which is certainly unusual.
In my test environment, when I scheduled an email, it was saved in the Drafts folder and a small notification appeared in the lower-left corner confirming the action. Clicking “View” in that notification took me directly to the scheduled message.
To assist you better, I’d like to clarify a few details so we can determine the right next steps:
1.When you press Send after choose Schedule send, do you see any kind of notification or confirmation message appear?
2.Are you using New Outlook or Classic Outlook?
3.Can you please confirm type of account (Exchange or IMAP) and is the issue affecting only one specific email account, or multiple accounts?
4.Are you using an Office 365, or a personal email service (like outlook.com) for your email?
5.To help me better understand what might be happening on your end, could you please try the following:
- Log into Outlook using a different browser and try scheduling an email again.
- If available, try using the Outlook desktop app to compose and schedule the message. Does the same issue occur there?
6.Check the Outbox:
- Open the Outbox folder in Outlook. This is where emails are temporarily stored before being sent. If you find the email in the Outbox, it means it hasn't been sent yet. You can try rescheduling it or manually sending it from the Outbox.
Note: Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. I am looking forward to your response!
