The issue you are experiencing, where the keyboard does not function during startup but works after a restart, may be related to how the keyboard is initialized during the boot process. This can sometimes happen if the keyboard drivers are not loaded properly at startup or if there is a conflict with other hardware components.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Check for Hardware Conflicts: Boot into Safe Mode to see if the keyboard works there. If it does, there may be a conflict with other hardware or drivers.
    2. Update Drivers: Ensure that your keyboard drivers are up to date by checking for updates in Settings > Windows Update.
    3. Disable Startup Programs: If the keyboard works in Safe Mode, try disabling startup programs that may interfere with the keyboard's functionality.
    4. Use System Information Tool: You can use the System Information tool to check for any problem devices or conflicts that might be affecting the keyboard.

If the problem persists, consider reaching out to technical support for further assistance.

    Hi, good day!

There are several users having the same problem after installing the October update, which is due to a widely reported issue with the update. The best solution is to open the Feedback Hub app and submit a report to Microsoft. The more people who report it, the faster they will release a patch to resolve this keyboard issue.
